The method of transport is to be a Land Rover 101, which is currently being adapted for Neil’s disability and also to enable the team to use the vehicle as a home for the duration of the expedition. Needless to say a great deal of equipment is needed from tyres, seats, air-conditioning, fuel-tank, water-tank, re-spray (the 101 is affectionately known as “Bumble” and will be sprayed yellow – yes yellow!) to a fridge, cooker, sleeping bags etc.

The specially adapted ex-military Land Rover 101 - to be sprayed yellow and affectionally known as ‘Bumble’.
